Gina’s career has included a variety of senior positions, primarily focused on the development of professional standards in the ICT sector. Early in her career, Gina was the Manager Professional Standards at the Canadian Information Processing Society (CIPS) where she expanded the organization’s accreditation program internationally and created the CIPS ITCP professional certification program. In 2011-2013 she was seconded as Executive Director to the International Professional Practice Program (IP3). There she led ISO audit teams in assessing professional certification organizations in Australia, UK, and the Netherlands. In 2013, she served as Chair of the Association of Accrediting Agencies of Canada (AAAC) and from 2010-2012 was CIPS Representative to the Seoul Accord, the international accreditation organization for professional computing and information technology academic degrees. Gina joined ITAC in late 2013, where she led the ITAC Business Technology Management (BTM) project. This project tripled enrollments and doubled the number of schools offering a BTM program and achieved recognition of BTM-type careers as a distinctive, attractive and prestigious family of professions for Canadian students, career changers, educators, employers, and families. She successfully led the creation of the BTM Forum, the leading organization for professionals with Business Technology Management acumen. Since 2014, Gina has served as the Executive Director ITAC Talent, with broad responsibilities for the support and development of the ITAC Talent programs, including its award winning CareerMash program and the work-integrated learning Career Ready program.
